This week NBC Nightly News broadcast a very well-done story about the plight of rural EMS agencies struggling to survive. Here’s a link - https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=nbc+news+ambulance+service+crisis&qpvt=nbc+news+ambulance+service+crisis&view=detail&mid=4A30A900CA0273C6777D4A30A900CA0273C6777D&&FORM=VRDGAR

Our colleagues at The National Association of EMTs (NAEMT) did a great job of advancing the message shown in the news piece. The NEMSA Board of Directors has endorsed the position of NAEMT and encourages our own members to review their statements and postings. You can see them here - http://www.naemt.org/WhatsNewALLNEWS/2019/10/23/nbc-news-article-highlights-shrinking-availability-of-ems-in-u.s.-communities

In the coming days NEMSMA will be offering our own call-to-action to our membership about these important issues. Stay tuned for more info.
