External Affairs and Policy

Chair: Chad Abrams, Board Liason: Carolina Snypes

The External Affairs and Policy Committee is a vital body dedicated to shaping and advancing the organization’s stance on various public policy matters and fostering meaningful relationships with external stakeholders. Comprised of knowledgeable and influential individuals, the committee is responsible for conducting comprehensive research and analysis of pressing policy issues affecting the organization and its stakeholders.

Through rigorous deliberation, the committee formulates well-informed position papers, policy recommendations, and advocacy strategies. These documents serve as the organization’s official standpoints on matters ranging from legislative proposals to global policy initiatives, aiming to influence positive change and promote the organization’s values and objectives.

In addition to its policy-oriented functions, the committee actively engages with external partners, such as government agencies, NGOs, industry associations, and other relevant entities. This engagement facilitates collaboration, builds partnerships, and fosters open dialogue, enabling the organization to have a significant impact on policy-making processes at local, national, and international levels.

The External Affairs and Policy Committee operates with a vision to create a positive and lasting impact on the communities it serves. By advocating for progressive policies and fostering fruitful collaborations, the committee plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission and contributing to the betterment of society as a whole.
