Rural & Small Provider

Chair: Jared Oscarson, Co-Chair Andy Smith: Board Liaison: Sean Caffrey

The National EMS Management Association is pleased to announce the creation of a new committee focused on rural and small providers. As many of you are aware of the 18,000+ EMS organization in the United States a large number are small organizations are running less than 5,000 and in many cases less than 1,000 calls per year. Organizations of this size face challenges related to geography, funding and management support to name a few. As the President-Elect of NEMSMA I have a long history in smaller organizations and currently lead a small fire district that provides EMS transport services and performs less than 700 calls per year. As such, it is my pleasure to team up with Jared Oscarson of Minnesota and Andy Smith of Utah to kick off this new rural and small provider committee!
